Is your little one OBSESSED with dinosaurs?! Perhaps you have a future paleontologist on your hands?? Fear not! There are plenty of great ways to throw a Dino-mite Dinosaur Party!
Invitation – Start by creating an invitation on fotobooks app. You can even upload a picture of your little one playing with their favorite dinosaur toys or wearing their favorite dinosaur mask!
Venue – The backyard creates the perfect canvas for lots of messy, dino fun! If outdoors is not an option, an inside party will do fine (just lay plastic tablecloths down for quick cleanup), or you could even call your local history museum to see if they host birthday parties.
Supplies – Any party store is bound to have adorable dinosaur decorations. For a more “earthy” feel you could opt for recycled party ware.
Volcanoes – I don’t know about your kids, but mine are constantly playing “The Floor is Lava”! Take it one step further with red paper cutouts. Or create a “lava pit” and host a vicious game of Tug of War! Last, but certainly not least, have your little guests make their own volcanoes with a little paper mache, baking soda, vinegar and red food coloring.
Ice Age – Looking for a cooler activity? Freeze some dinosaurs or dinosaur bones in ice and let the kiddos go to town. A large kiddo pool is the perfect place for a melt down.
Fossils – Who doesn’t love to dig?! There are lots of way to set up a dinosaur fossil excavation. For example, you can hide toy dinosaur bones in your sandbox or bury them in some plaster of Paris. As long as you have a few pairs of goggles, some hammers, picks and shovels you’ll be good to go!
Games – Retro party games aren’t quite as old as dinosaurs, but there are still as much fun! Throw up a Dinosaur Pinata and a Pin the Tail on the Dinosaur, blindfold your guests and play, play, play.
Food – The possibilities are endless with dino-mite party food. Think carnivores (sliders or hotdogs) & herbivores (fruits and veggies)… dinosaur eggs (deviled eggs), dinosaur claws (Bugles), dinosaur scales (potato chips), dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets, a queso volcano!!
Sweets – A great dinosaur cake or cupcakes will be a perfect sweet treat. If you want to get even more creative, make a Dirt Cake with sandwich cookies and pudding but instead of decorating it with gummy worms, use dinosaurs (candy or toys)!
Your guests are sure to have some dinosaur sized fun! Just don’t forget to have all of them upload their photos on fotobooks after the party for ages and ages of memories.
